The New Brunswick Lieutenant Governor’s Award for Wild Atlantic Salmon Conservation

At its Annual General Meeting on March 30, the New Brunswick Salmon Council (NBSC) announced that the 2025 recipient of the Lieutenant Governor’s Award for Wild Atlantic Salmon Conservation will be Mr. Stephen Chase. 

This prestigious Award recognizes individuals and organizations whose efforts have contributed significantly to the conservation and protection of New Brunswick’s Atlantic salmon.

 NBSC President, Mr. Butch Dalton, noted that “In both his volunteer and professional lives, Stephen has been a tireless proponent of Atlantic salmon conservation in New Brunswick and throughout Atlantic Canada for over 40 years.  His contributions have been exemplary. “

The Award will be presented at a ceremony held at Government House in Fredericton in early October.
